Lanternfish Security provides managed threat detection for mid-sized companies that cannot staff a security operations centre of their own. We are hiring a Tech Lead to join the Engineering team.
The tech lead is the technical anchor of a product team: you will still spend most of your time building, but you also own the team's technical decisions, its code quality and the plan for getting from today's system to the one we need.
This is a hybrid role based in Ottawa, with two or three days a week in the office. It is a full-time, permanent position. The pay range for this role is CA$173,000–CA$215,000 per year.

What you'll do
- Own the technical plan and architecture for your team.
- Write a significant share of the team's code, especially the tricky parts.
- Break down work with product and keep delivery predictable.
- Coach engineers through reviews, pairing and design discussions.
- Keep technical debt visible and paid down deliberately.
- Coordinate with other tech leads on shared services and standards.
