Lanternfish Security provides managed threat detection for mid-sized companies that cannot staff a security operations centre of their own. We are hiring a Security Engineer to join the Security team.
Security here is an engineering discipline, not a checklist. You will review designs before they are built, find and fix weaknesses in what already exists, and build the guard rails that make the secure path the easy one for every engineer.
This is a hybrid role based in Ottawa, with two or three days a week in the office. It is a full-time, permanent position. The pay range for this role is CA$153,000–CA$193,000 per year.

What you'll do
- Review designs and code for security weaknesses before they ship.
- Run threat modelling sessions with product teams.
- Own the vulnerability management and disclosure process.
- Harden cloud infrastructure, identity and secrets management.
- Build detection and response tooling with the platform team.
- Support audits and certifications with real evidence.
