Lanternfish Security provides managed threat detection for mid-sized companies that cannot staff a security operations centre of their own. We are hiring a Design Lead to join the Design team.
You will lead a team of four to six designers, combining hands-on design with coaching, hiring and the rituals that keep quality high. You will partner with engineering and product leads as an equal.
This is a hybrid role based in Ottawa, with two or three days a week in the office. It is a full-time, permanent position. The pay range for this role is CA$157,000–CA$194,000 per year.

What you'll do
- Lead and grow a team of product designers.
- Run design critique and keep quality consistently high.
- Hire designers and shape the team's structure.
- Partner with product and engineering leads on roadmap and priorities.
- Stay hands-on with the most important design work.
- Advocate for research and accessibility across the company.
