Gridwise Energy designs and connects community solar and battery storage sites for municipal utilities in Ontario. We are hiring a Grid Interconnection Engineer to join the Infrastructure team.
You will take new energy sites through the grid connection process, from first study to energisation. It is technical work with a lot of negotiation, and every approved site is a visible win.
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, with two or three days a week in the office. It is a full-time, permanent position. The pay range for this role is CA$102,000–CA$133,000 per year.

What you'll do
- Work with utility engineers to resolve capacity and protection concerns.
- Keep a pipeline of sites moving through approval.
- Review single-line diagrams and protection settings.
- Track grid code changes and their impact on projects.
Qualifications
Must have
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
- Power systems analysis
- PSS/E
- Grid codes
- Negotiation
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or equivalent
- Battery storage
- Project coordination
