Cedar Grove Labs builds evaluation and monitoring tools for teams running machine-learning models in production. We are hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join the Engineering team.
Staff engineers here do not manage people, but they do carry the technical direction for a group of teams. You will spend roughly half your time building and half aligning: reviewing designs, untangling cross-team dependencies and deciding what we should stop doing.
This role is fully remote; you can work from anywhere within the US. It is a full-time, permanent position. The pay range for this role is $196,000–$249,000 per year.

What you'll do
- Set the technical direction for a group of three to four product teams.
- Write and review the design documents for the largest pieces of work.
- Build prototypes that prove or disprove an approach before teams commit to it.
- Represent engineering in planning conversations with product and leadership.
