Cedar Grove Labs builds evaluation and monitoring tools for teams running machine-learning models in production. We are hiring a Machine Learning Scientist to join the Data team.
You will run the applied research agenda for one product area: reading the literature, running careful experiments, and deciding which ideas are ready to hand over to engineering.
This is a hybrid role based in Seattle, with two or three days a week in the office. It is a full-time, permanent position. The pay range for this role is $158,000–$201,000 per year.

What you'll do
- Run applied research on new modelling approaches.
- Design rigorous experiments and honest baselines.
- Hand over proven approaches to ML engineers with clear documentation.
- Keep up with the literature and share what matters.
- Build evaluation datasets with domain experts.
- Publish internal research notes and occasional external papers.
Qualifications
Must have
- PhD or Master's in Machine Learning, Statistics or a related field
