Frontend Engineer

Brightside Labs designs and builds diagnostic tools for primary-care practices. We are hiring a Frontend Engineer to join the Engineering team.

You will work in the space between design and engineering, turning prototypes into interfaces that are fast, accessible and pleasant to maintain. Our users are not always on new hardware or fast connections, so performance budgets are taken seriously.

This role is based on site in Berlin or Munich. It is a full-time, permanent position. The pay range for this role is €69,000–€91,000 per year.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the web front end in Vue and TypeScript.
• Turn design prototypes into accessible, responsive components.
• Keep pages fast on low-end laptops and patchy connections.
• Grow the shared component library so other teams can move faster.
• Write component and end-to-end tests for critical flows.
• Work with designers in the open, from first sketch to release.
